Ah, another trip to the lush sounds of Washed Out. Can I tell you how much I loved debut album Within and Without? Atlanta’s own Ernest Greene, the mastermind behind the project will release new single Amor Fati on 12” November 14th with remixes by Au Revoir Simone and Clams Casino.

I’ve been sitting on the Washed Out cover of Chris Isaak‘s classic Wicked Game for a while now. It is a gorgeous version and one of the best covers I’ve heard of the track, although there is no beating the original for me! Music production colleges are an option to look into for those of you interested in the production of great music and videos like these. Some people may think it is a toss up as far as which of these versions are better.

Take a trip back in time to 1991, and watch the incredibly sexy Herb Ritts video for the original that features Helena Christensen. I would love to have traded places with her for this shoot, wouldn’t you?

It’s been far to long since I shared any Grimes news with you – epic fail on my part since I’ve been enjoying her latest album Darkbloom for quite some time now. I encourage you to check it out if you’re a sucker for weirdly hypnotic tunes you can’t quite figure out why you like so much!
