The xx have just released the video for “Chained”, the latest single to be taken from their delightful sophomore album “Co-Exist”. It was directed by Young Replicant, and made in conjunction with The Creators Project. Great visuals for a gorgeous song!

The xx recently appeared on Jools Holland and performed the stunning “Angels”, one of my favorites on their recently released sophomore album “Coexist”. It’s an excellent performance of a gorgeous song, simple brilliance!
Material from The xx‘s forthcoming album Co-exist continues to surface, the latest is a gorgeous track called Sunset. I’m very eager to hear the rest of the album and am pleased that while their sound has advanced the core elements we know and love from the first album are still there.
The band was recently interviewed by Rolling Stone and discuss how the success of the first album affected them and the sound of the new album.
“It just sort of carries it on,” said Madley Croft of the new album, a few tracks of which have been aired live and on YouTube. “It’s developed, but it doesn’t seem like completely a world away. I hope people will just enjoy it as a development of where we were before.”
Last week we posted a few live versions of tracks from The xx‘s forthcoming album Coexisit, now we have another studio version to share. Chained has just popped up online and after only a few listens I’m already loving it and more eager than ever to hear the rest of the album which is shaping up quite nicely.
The xx have arrived in the U.S. for a series of shows in which they are playing material from their stunning debut and of course stuff from their forthcoming album Co-Exist.
Live recordings of the new material have been popping over the last few months, and now we’ve got one of a track called Swept Away, which was performed in LA a few days ago. I really love the sound of it and I’m excited to hear it in high quality

Last week, The xx dropped the effortlessly gorgeous Angels, the first single from their forthcoming album Co-exist, and now we’ve been treated to a stunning unofficial remix that comes courtesy of Cardiff-based duo Bodhi. I’m greatly enjoying this sophisticated uptempo take on the track this afternoon and hope you do too!
