Back in ’91 Bjork was part of The Sugarcubes. The band had many great songs but Hit is by far a favorite!  Hit was accompanied by a fantastic video which was often seen on MTV’s 120 Minutes and helped gain the band much popularity. The song is a little more ‘pop’ unlike some of their other singles such as Birthday and Motorcrash.  

The video has great imagery of Bjork and members of the band referencing the theme of a ‘love that was not supposed to happen.’  You see the young artist looking beautiful and singing in a bed about her surprise of love, preparing us for the eccentric singers soon to come solo career.  I love seeing Bjork playing with the dolls and bringing them together as if they are falling in love.
