Royksopp: ‘Shores of Easy’ + The Irrepressibles ‘In This Shirt’ Remix

Royksopp

Royksopp are offering a free mp3 download of their first new track since Senior called Shores of Easy which they’ve already performed live once on KCRW. While the duo state Shores is ‘not indicative of things to come,’ we can definitely confirm that new material is ‘being brewed.’ They describe this track as “A perfect soundtrack to that borderline state between being awake and being asleep – the state where everything seems possible.”

We also have Royksopp’s remix/edit of In This Shirt by The Irrepressibles. Aren’t they gracious with the downloads!?

Lady Gaga: Judas (Röyksopp Remix)

When I saw that Goldfrapp had remixed Lady Gaga‘s Judas I was shocked but excited to hear the mix, unfortunatley I was not too impressed with it!

Still never fear Röyksopp to the rescue! Another surprising remixer for this tune, but thankfully they have provided a fabulous mix that is right in line with the sound they are known for! This is my favorite of all the mixes I have heard of Judas to date and I hope you also enjoy it!

In other Gaga news she will be appearing on Letterman tonight and earlier today stopped by for an interview with the ladies on The View! - Camille

Röyksopp: Keyboard Milk + Dazed Magazine Interview

I’m always excited to hear new Röyksopp material and today’s offering comes in the form of Keyboard Milk the b-side to Forsaken Cowboy, taken from their instrumental album Senior which was released last year. As is usually the case it is a synth heavy affair!

While we are on the subject of Röyksopp head over to Dazed Digital to head an interesting interview with the guys about Senior and what is next for them in 2011!  - Camille

Röyksopp: Le Cantique de Noël

Röyksopp bring on the Holiday cheer with their take on the classic Le Cantique de Noël. It definitely strays away from the ‘normal’ Christmas tune, and only these boys can make synth’s sound so beautiful. It definitely goes hand in hand with the eerie White Nights which The Golden Filter just covered. The  band says of the song…

We went to a strange place with this one, fusing drums, choir and SFX together to create a version that perhaps is a bit like what a person in the early 1970′s could imagine Christmas music would sound like in the future. The future, like in 2010.’

They’re offering it for a free download, so enjoy and sip your spiked drinks in the dark when you play this one.

ROBYN: Body Talk Pt 1, None of Dem, Dancehall Queen + Fembots Single Covers

Robyn’s mini album Body Talk part one  is being released in June, its the first of three album that she is going to release this year. She said: “It’s been 5 years since Robyn and I didn’t want to wait with a release until they are all recorded, so I decided to start putting them out right away.”

I’m so excited for plenty of Robyn this year and to start things rolling here are the single covers for None of Dem , Dancehall Queen and Fembots which are being released on April 13th.

(Dancehall Queen is rumored to be the real title of the track No Hassle that surfaced a few months ag0) Meaning we’ll only hear one new track in a few days but we can’t be greedy right?

Body Talk , pt 1Tracklist

01 “Don’t Fucking Tell Me What To Do”
02 “Fembot”
03 “Dancing On My Own”
04 “Cry When You Get Older”
05 “Dance Hall Queen”
06″ None Of Dem”
07 “Hang With Me (acoustic)”
08 “Jag Vet En Dejlig Rosa”

ROYKSOPP: The Girl and the Robot (feat. Robyn) Remix + Live Performance!

The Union between Sweden and Norway dissolved years ago, or so we thought! ROBYN, a Sweden native joined Norwegian electro group ROYKSOPP on stage recently to perform their new single The Girl and The Robot. I think this translates better as a ‘track’ rather than a song to be performed live. Maybe you just have to be there? Television show performances are always a bit ‘eh’ for me.
