I figured i’d take us back a little over a decade, to when MARIAH CAREY‘s ultimate feel-good track ALWAYS BE MY BABY topped the charts. I remember being so excited every time the video would come on MTV, the soft focus and vibrant colors are beautiful…and who wouldn’t want to tire-swing over a lake at night?
I’ve found a great remix, with a lot of alternate vocals. Best off, there is a NO RAP version (can’t stand the raps). Check it out…

Oh lord here we go again! MARIAH premiered her new single OBSESSED today. I am hoping that the album holds some better material as this track doesn’t do much for me. I was kinda expecting a great first single… this is just average with tired production. Bring back the good old days of ‘Someday!’ While we’re ragging on Mariah this new shoot could have been an outtake from The Emancipation of Mimi sessions! Get a new look girl!

VH1 DIVAS LIVE RETURNS!

I am totally unashamed to say that I am EAGERLY awaiting the return of DIVAS LIVE to VH1 this September! I mean come on, the picture above just says it all doesn’t it? DIANA ROSS dressed as a purple big bird, MARIAH sporting a belly baring butterfly top, and erm who’s that too the left?? ah yes, FAITH HILL (well you can’t win em all can you?) all dressed to kill and trying to out sing each other…. oh the memories!

VH1 are currently running a poll to see who they should invite, this show only works with biggest and the best DIVAS (*cough* Aretha! *cough*) no imitations or lame ex American Idol contestants! Send in your requests!

Mariah Carey‘s ‘Merry Christmas’ Cd is one on the most essential chistmas albums in my opinion. She recently sung ‘Please Come Home For Christmas’ live at the Grammy Nominations party and well it’s kinda fun. I enjoy them throwing out the presents LOL, but the ways Mariah sings it is nothing compared to the album version, her voice is not like it used to be!

Oh joy! Mariah returns to acting in ‘Tennessee’ due in ‘select theatres’ in March, 2009 *cough* straight to dvd? *cough*. Today the video has premiered, featuring clips of her in the movie and singing in a studio.

I do hope the movie is as good as Glitter, that was so bad it was great, plus in all honesty I loved the soundtrack. So shoot me!

I didn’t think that Mariah‘s summer-jam I’ll Be Lovin’ U Long Time was very dance/club remix-able. Designer Drugs, an amazing remix team has proven me wrong! This track is really great, a perfect club version of the original. Check it out and let me know what you think!
