San Francisco-based Giraffage offers up his take on Janet Jackson‘s ‘Someone To Call My Lover’ taken from the ‘All For You‘ album. It’s an expertly crafted mix which gives the original a complete rework and is perfect for kicking off the weekend with!
It seems like there are a whole bunch of producers out there loving Janet Jackson‘s ‘Rock With You.‘ Last month we posted a rework by Ghosts of Venice, now we’ve got one by Amsterdam-based FS Green to share! He takes things down a notch and provides a super sultry rework that is sure to make a few panties drop!
While the ‘Discipline‘ album was far from Janet Jackson‘s best work, I did take a liking to ‘Rock With U,’ and one of our readers has just shared this rather nice Ghosts of Venice rework in our Hard Candy Facebook group. I’m loving the sexy beat and hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
In other news, amid rumors that she was due to tie the knot in an extravagant ceremony this weekend, Janet released this statement:
“The rumours regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true. Last year we were married in a quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony. Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favourite children’s charities. We would appreciate that our privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy. With love, Wissam and Janet”
Congrats Janet! Now work on new music!
Rauhofer’s take on the 1993 classic is, as you might expect, an anthemic club delight. It has to be said that there’s nothing like the sexiness of the original, which can be found on the flawless ‘Janet’ album, but I think you’ll enjoy this nonetheless!
Last year, at this time our excitement was at a fever pitch as we waited with bated breath for Madonna’s performance at the Super Bowl Half Time show. This year, we eagerly anticipate Beyonce‘s performance at tomorrow’s Super Bowl, I think she’s gonna do a tremendous job.
While we wait to see what she’s got up her sleeve, it’s time for us to take a look back at some of the best performances at the Super Bowl Halftime show over the years…..
There’s no denying that Janet Jackson has a killer back catalog, and one of my favorites is the 1993 hit ‘If.‘ This evening on a hunt for new remixes to add to my collection, I came across the Kaytranda remix of the classic. This talented Montreal-based guy has given it a total rework, incorporating lots of new elements and resulting in a banging makeover which is an absolute delight!
I couldn’t leave you without the flawless video for the original…..
Janet Jackson‘s “Say You Do”, the third single to be taken from her debut album “Janet Jackson” has been given a banging rework by Late Nite Tuff Guy! He funks up the tune and hits its out the park as usual, I wonder who he’s lined up next?
Watch a cute and innocent looking Janet lip syncing her way through a performance on Soul Train in 1982. It’s so crazy to see her way back in the beginning, how far she has come!
