The August issue of Q Magazine comes in the form of an Amy Winehouse tribute, Back To…Back To Black. Delivered jam packed with a companion CD to go alongside an extensive feature, the disc includes covers of Winehouse’s best material, including one via Saint Etienne. They recorded their least favorite track, as they were afraid they’d ruin the best ones.
They definitely made the song their own, download it for free below. Unfortunately, the CD is only available in the UK, due to copyright issues. Make sure to pick up Words and Music by Saint Etienne, the latest album from the legendary UK electro-pop outfit.
Moments ago, Radio One premiered the new Nas trackCherry Wine which features Amy Winehouse, it is one of their many collaborations and the second to surface. I’m loving the laid back vibe of her voice on this even though it’s so bittersweet to hear her on new material.
The track is due to be released on Nas’ upcoming album Life Is Good on July 17th.
Amy Winehouse‘s first posthumous album Lioness: Hidden Treasureswas released on December 6th, and it lives up to its name with a selection of wonderful tunes, some familiar and some new to our ears, which once again prove what talent she possessed in her short life. We have been given some vinyl copies of the album to giveaway and would love to give you the opportunity to remember Amy with one of them.
HOW DO I ENTER?
We’d love it if you liked Hard Candy on Facebook and this post up above,

Hot on the heels of the news about Amy Winehouse‘s posthumous album Lioness, due for release December 13th, today we get our first listen to two of the tracks. Like Smoke was recorded back in 2008, to which her pal Nas has added some bittersweet verses, fulfilling her wish that they work together. Our Day Will Come is a Ruby & The Romantics cover recorded back in 2002.
Listening to these tracks just kills me, she had so much talent and would surely have gone on provide us with so many classic tracks had she not been plagued by so many demons. Rest in peace, dear Amy.
