Watch: Absolutely Fabulous Sport Relief Special

It’s no secret that we’re huge fans of Absolutely Fabulous and are thrilled that Eddy & Patsy have returned to our screens in a series of specials. The first couple aired over christmas and this Sport Relief special just aired this weekend in the U.K.

With special guest appearances by Kate Moss, Stella McCartney and host of athletes, the skit was hilarious as usual! My only complaint was that I wish it was longer, but it was part of a larger program raising money for sports in the U.K.

La Roux’s Elly Jackson to star in Absolutely Fabulous

Stone cold Elly Jackson, one half of synth duo La Roux will guest star on the New Years special episode of Absolutely Fabulous. The sitcom which will hit the big screen this year airs the Holiday special on January 1st at 9:40pm on BBC One.

After deeming their ‘old sound’ as ‘so over’ La Roux have spent the year recording a new ‘more human, more open, warmer’ album with an ‘established’ indie band. Who could it be + are you looking forward to a new La Roux album?

Absolutely Fabulous movie in the works!

While we were so caught up in the Madonna demo leak of Give Me All Your Love yesterday, other exciting news was bubbling up on the net.

One of our favorite shows Absolutely Fabulous will hit the big screen in 2012! Creator extraordinaire Jennifer Saunders reveals details on the movie adaptation of the popular series…

 ”I want to write Ab Fab: The Movie. We’d have so much fun, and I’ve thought of a really nice idea. We thought it would be hilarious if [Edina and Patsy] went to a party on an oligarch’s yacht, got drunk, fell asleep and woke up in the middle of the ocean. Everyone else has left, and the ship has been moved on.”

It was confirmed by BBC’s Christine Langan yesterday, and the film will start production once Saunders is fnished with her current musical Viva Forever.

Not to fear, the first in a series of new television specials is set to air around Christmas time – not too long to wait!
