I’m kinda in love with this freshly leaked Lana Del Rey demo, “Queen of Disaster.” Despite the lyrical content, it’s an upbeat sixties-style number that strays away from the melancholy sound we’ve been accustomed to from Lana!
Apparently, this track was recorded back in 2011 and produced by Chris Braide, who also did “Million Dollar Man.”
Britney Spears has contributed a super pop song to the Smurfs 2 soundtrack. Despite being produced by Dr. Luke, Ammo and Cirkut, Ooh La La gives me distinct Marvin Solveig ‘Hello’ vibes. And of course the “Ooh La La” line instantly reminds me of Madonna‘s far superior ‘Superstar.’

If you ask me, Mariah Carey was the only thing worth watching American Idol for this year. Last night, she performed new single #Beautiful and a lighting fast medley of her hits, including Vision of Love, Make It Happen, My All, Hero, and We Belong Together on the season finale.
It’s about time!

“Are we about to witness a tennis match?” I leaned over to say to my friend at the Echoplex in Los Angeles on Thursday, as we anticipated Little Boots to launch her new tour. The second opening band, Avan Lava walked onto the stage dressed all in white mesh tops, pants, shorts, skirts- you name it, and Adidas track jackets.
