For weeks we had been hearing rumors of The Spice Girls‘ involvement in the Olympics, so like us you probably sat though the whole opening ceremony wondering where the fuck they were. It turns out the fab five will be performing at the closing ceremony and are according to a tweet from U.K. journalist Dean Piper they are currently in rehearsals!
So the Spice Girls are all together rehearsing for the Olympics RIGHT NOW in London. #itsonbitches
We can’t wait for the show! We have no idea what they’ll be singing yet but I wouldn’t be opposed to a nice lengthy medley of all the hits! If I had to pick one I might just go for Spice Up Your Life…what would you like them to sing?
In the just premiered video for Nicki Minaj‘s Pound The Alarm she takes us on a trip back to her home country the beautiful Trinidad where it’s carnival time in Port of Spain.
Nicki and her friends all sporting gorgeous colorful costumes have one hell of a party and throw down! Looks like a lot of fun
Pound The Alarm is one of our favorite tracks on Roman Reloaded, do you love it too? What do you think of the video?
I find it such a travesty when for whatever reason really phenomenal commissioned remixes aren’t approved. Such is the case as with the Strictlove K25 Club Mix of Kylie Minogue‘s Timebomb.
Given just two days to submit the track he did an excellent job and came up with an inventive mix that pays homage to Inner City. Once you get past the first minute this really takes off so stick with it!
Our thanks to @WayneQOriginal for the heads up!
The xx have arrived in the U.S. for a series of shows in which they are playing material from their stunning debut and of course stuff from their forthcoming album Co-Exist.
Live recordings of the new material have been popping over the last few months, and now we’ve got one of a track called Swept Away, which was performed in LA a few days ago. I really love the sound of it and I’m excited to hear it in high quality
Watch Swept Away and Reunion and Fiction, two more from the new album you may have missed.
British House group Nightcrawlers 1992 dance track Push The Feeling On is undoubtedly a classic, so I was excited to see that Venice Beach had remixed it . Clearly it doesn’t beat the brilliance original but nonetheless it’s a decent take with some new elements to freshen it up.
Who can forget the trippy video for the original? Take it back to ’92 and watch below!
We’ve been eagerly anticipating Madonna’s intimate show at the Olympia in Paris since it was revealed a few weeks ago. Many rumors have circulated about the setlist, most importantly that she is set to perform a Beautiful Killer/Die Another Day mash-up that she has been heard rehearsing before shows in the last few days.
Whatever she has in store for us we know its sure to be a treat and we’re excited that we are able to watch a live stream of the gig which starts at 4.15 EST today and you can watch below. If you miss it, fear not as we’ll be updating this post with the recorded video asap. Enjoy the show!

Last week, The xx dropped the effortlessly gorgeous Angels, the first single from their forthcoming album Co-exist, and now we’ve been treated to a stunning unofficial remix that comes courtesy of Cardiff-based duo Bodhi. I’m greatly enjoying this sophisticated uptempo take on the track this afternoon and hope you do too!
