Gossip release witty ‘Get A Job’ video

You really have to hand it to Gossp for their latest video, might I go on a limb and say their best to date for ‘Get A Job?’ Of course, this does not include include solo effort ‘Justify My Beth’ the Madonna inspired video for ’I Wrote The Book.’

‘Get A Job’ is the stand out track on last year’s A Joyful Noise, and it’s video finds Beth and co playing various professions, including my favorite – the sassy diner waitress. It seems a girl must have looked for a sugar mamma in Ditto, and she’s saying hell naw!

It’s felt like ages since we’ve had something new to share from the lovely Roisin Murphy, a staple artist here on Hard Candy. Her latest effort comes in the form of the official video for the 7-minute sultry affair ‘Simulation’ just uploaded by label Permanent Vacation. Watch below!

Depeche Mode return with ‘Heaven’

After much consideration I think Depeche Mode‘s latest single ‘Heaven’ is a real winner! I was just pondering what this track would sound like before listening, hoping to hear a bit of vintage-Mode for their forthcoming album ‘Delta Machine.’ The boys have had some great ones in the past decade, but where’s the ‘Policy of Truth,’ ‘It’s No Good’ or ‘Walking In My Shoes?’ Martin Gore spoke about the album during a press release, hinting that they wanted to re-created the sound of ‘their best years,’ which i’m sure is very much welcomed by fans.

Heaven comes quite close, putting aside a little of the angst found frequently on their latest efforts Playing The Angel and Sounds of the Universe. A slow burner that might just bring them a generation of new listeners.

As a side note – Dave Gahan’s voice sounds extra sultry nowadays, doesn’t it?
