Material from The xx‘s forthcoming album Co-exist continues to surface, the latest is a gorgeous track called Sunset.  I’m very eager to hear the rest of the album and am pleased that while their sound has advanced the core elements we know and love from the first album are still there.

The band was recently interviewed by Rolling Stone and discuss how the success of the first album affected them and the sound of the new album.

“It just sort of carries it on,” said Madley Croft of the new album, a few tracks of which have been aired live and on YouTube. “It’s developed, but it doesn’t seem like completely a world away. I hope people will just enjoy it as a development of where we were before.”
