Our first taste of Roisin Murphy‘s upcoming EP sung entirely in Italian, a collaboration with Luca C & Bringate comes in the form of her cover of Mina classic Non Credere. She posted the clip (below) as a teaser, earlier today on her Facebook page. It’s gorgeous – can’t you just see her performing this in a dark, giant church?
The Italian chanteuse, whose full name is Anna Maria Quaini has released over 77 albums, and has seen 71 of her singles on the Italian charts. Her sultry style and raccoon-eyed bombshell looks, backed by her three-octave soprano voice mark her as a fitting inspiration for Roisin. Watch the original version below, Mina is quite the performer…i’m in love!
After watching the video, i’m struck by such Goldfrapp moments its not even funny. You can surely see Alison was also influenced by the great Mina.
