After sharing her Active Child cover Hanging On  a few weeks ago, this morning Ellie Goulding shared the details of  her forthcoming sophomore album, it’s called Halcyon and is due to be released on Oct 8th in the UK and Oct 9th in the US. She also revealed that we’re going to be treated to a teaser this week.

The first single is called Anything Could Happen, and Ellie is currently running a contest on her Facebook for fans to submit images to possibly be featured in the lyric video for the track which is dropping soon.

Back in March, Ellie talked about the direction of the album in an interview with Dean Piper…

It’s started to sound very dark and very weird. This album is going to be even more emotional – I’m all about emo. Captain emo over here! I wanted to make it so there is hope. I want to make an effect whether it’s happy or sad.

There are also rumors of collaborations with boyfriend Skillrex and Swedish House Mafia, but we’ll have to wait and see, are you ready?!
