Today we get our first listen to Lykke Li‘s take on Fleetwood Mac‘s Silver Springs.  She’s done the track justice, delivering a flawless stripped back take on the original that is dripping with emotion.

Silver Springs was originally intended to be released on the flawless Rumors album, but didn’t make the cut due to growing tensions in the band, in part due to Stevie Nicks and guitarist Lindsey Buckingham’s breakup.

The track is taken from the Fleetwood Mac tribute album Just Tell Me That You Want Me, which also features offerings from Best Coast, MGMT, Washed Out and more.
