Yesterday, Cat Power announced Sun her first album of original material in six years will be released in September.  I’m excited that she is returning, I loved The Greatest and Jukebox the covers album that she released four years ago.

Judging by the sound of Ruin, the first track to be shared from the album, it sounds like we’re in for a treat. It’s a light and breezy track in which she sings about all the places she’s traveled too and it’s absolutely perfect for summer.
